Overhead Drum Rotator (Universal Band)

This unique drum handler can be used below hook with your hoist or crane and as a forklift attachment. This model uses STS’s trademark variable band, accommodating drums from as small as 13 Gallons (50 liters) up to 55 gallons (220 liters), whether steel, plastic or fiber. The rim-locking device provides a second securing method, eliminating any risk of the drum slipping while being decanted.
Clamping pad designs
This model can be tailored to suit your process and how you need to handle your drums. The unique flexible rubber clamping pads are designed to be used with a variety of drum types and sizes 11”-24” (280mm to 610mm) in diameter. The clamping pads can also be configured to allow 55 gallon (205-liter) drums to be removed from the corner of a pallet if this is a requirement.
The drum rotator comes with a rim-locking device, which attaches to the lip of the drum to add a second level of security. This allows you to safely handle a vast range of drums, some of which cannot be handled by other equipment on the market.
Rim-clamp securing system
The clamping band comes with a sliding pivot, allowing you to quickly adjust the diameter of the band to fit various drum sizes. This is especially useful if you work with a variety of drums in your process.

Self-locking gearbox
The drum rotator comes with a rim-locking device, which attaches to the lip of the drum to add a second level of security. This allows you to safely handle a vast range of drums, some of which cannot be handled by other equipment on the market.
Large lifting pin and fork pockets
With multiple pick-up points, the DRU02 is a great choice if you need a versatile drum rotator. When you’re using an overhead crane the large lifting pin provides a secure fixing point, while fork pockets allow you to mount the unit on a forklift truck.

Stainless steel
This model can be supplied in 304-grade stainless steel, suitable for good manufacturing practice (GMP) areas as well as clean rooms.
EX / ATEX
Suitable for use in hazardous zoned areas. The DRU02-SS-EX is constructed from 304 grade stainless steel. Eliminates any thermic-strike risk. Suitable for gas and dust areas.
Fixed-size drum band
If you’re only handling 52 gallon to 58 gallon (200-to 220-liter) steel and plastic drums, our fixed over-center drum band makes securing and handling drums quicker.
Load cell weighing system
We are able to offer an Overhead Drum Rotator with an integrated load-cell. Weigh drums at the same time as you decant from them using the unique system.
