Handles a wide selection of drums

The STS universal drum band, equipped with this model, features an adjustable modular design suitable for a wide range of drum types and sizes. This innovative design ensures optimal contact with the drum, regardless of its size, providing a secure and safe fastening system. Rim-clamp securing system

This electric drum rotator comes with a rim-locking device, which attaches to the top lip of the drum to add a second security measure. This allows the stainless steel drum rotator to handle a vast range of drums safely, some of which cannot be handled by other equipment on the market.

The rim clamp is fully adjustable in height to accommodate all sizes of drums and barrels. When using a drum rotator with our "Fixed Diameter Band" (FB) option to handle steel 58 gallon (205-liter) drums, the rim clamp can be removed.

Self-locking gearbox assembly

We build all our Stainless Steel drum rotator models to include a high-quality self-locking rotational gearbox. This makes sure that when you’re using the drum emptying equipment, the drums always remain under control and never self-rotate. 

The standard model is operated manually using a handle, but we can also provide a powered version. The gearbox has a final ratio of 120:1, which makes the rotation easy to control by operators of all sizes and strengths.

Steering offers great control

Ackermann-style rear-wheel steering provides maximum directional control when emptying drums. The 6.29” (160mm) diameter wheels are equipped with two precision bearings, ensuring minimal rolling resistance.

All models come fitted with park brakes for static positioning and safety. Custom leg configurations are available, including wider legs, narrower legs, and low-level under-machine legs, to suit your specific needs.

Integrated load-cell weighing system

Weighing drums can be made easier with our integrated weigh scale system, accurate to +/- 0.1kg. This system streamlines operations by weighing drums while lifting them, eliminating the need for separate floor scales. This system improves efficiency and helps operators identify over- or under-filled drums early, ensuring smoother workflows and enhanced quality control.

Load Cell must be ordered with equipment, not available as an accessory.

Telescopic lift using dual-mast chassis

We understand that customers need to empty drums at different heights. That's why we offer both single and dual mast models. The standard single mast model offers around 59” (1500mm) of lift, whereas telescopic models offer 106” (2700mm). Our team can provide drawings showing you the tipping heights and clearances you can expect should you decide on a telescopic model.

Powered drum rotation via motor

For time-critical pouring applications, we offer powered rotation, which is controlled from the rear panel of the machine. This upgrade removes the manual rotation handle in favor of a hydraulic motor. Customers should consider this upgrade when the lifting height may mean that the standard rotation handle is out of reach for the operator.

Powered drum clamping via hydraulic ram

Improve efficiency using hydraulic-powered clamping arms. Our unique flexible pads can clamp drums from 13-58 gallon (50- to 220-liters) with ease. This upgrade eliminates the need for operators to manually affix the securing band and rim-clamp, saving valuable time and speeding up production operations.

Powered driving via electric drive wheel and tiller

When handling numerous drums or moving long distances, you may want to consider a power-driven model. A 12V drive wheel is controlled using an electric tiller and Curtis controller. The machine remains battery-powered, offering complete freedom to travel about your factory. The drive system is suitable for use on flat and level floors.

Fixed-diameter band for 53-58 gallon (200-220L) drums

If you only handle 53-58 gallon (200- 220-liter) steel and plastic drums, our fixed diameter over-centre drum band makes securing drums quicker. When handling steel drums with the band the rim clamp doesn't need to be used. This type of band is a substitute for the standard variable drum rotator band. Please ask our team for more information about this securing method.

Small drum insert for drums <13 gallon

If you’re using this drum handling equipment for barrels smaller than 30 gallons (50 liters), we can provide an insert that allows you to lift small containers with the universal drum band. This insert can be quickly fitted using two pins to secure it in place. For very short drums, it may be necessary to raise them up on a pallet to secure them in the head assembly.
