This pneumatic-hydraulic drum tipper can be supplied for use in zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. We ensure electrical continuity throughout the machine with a path to 'ground' always being present. Each piece of ATEX equipment is supplied with a manufacturer’s Declaration of Conformity showing compliance with the directives and relevant British and ISO Standards.

With the pneumatic STP01-DRU01-Ex model, an air line connection powers a pneumatic hydraulic pump, which supplies oil to the lift system. The system is very robust and requires minimal maintenance keeping operating costs down. we regularly supply drum pouring equipment with additional air-powered functions such as power clamp, rotation and drive that improve production efficiencies.

The STS universal band assembly is modular and designed to adapt to a wide range of drum diameters. The unique design ensures full contact between the band and the drum, offering a safe securing system. The band segments can be adjusted from 13.8” - 23.6” (350mm - 600mm) in diameter; a unique STS feature.

If your facility handles a variety of drum types, ensuring secure, safe, and efficient operations is critical. With this model, steel, plastic and fiberboard drums from 13-58 gallons (50-220 liters) can be handled within the universal band.

This electric drum rotator comes with a rim-locking device, which attaches to the top lip of the drum to add a second security measure. This allows the drum pourer to handle a vast range of drums safely, some of which cannot be handled by other equipment on the market.

The rim clamp is fully adjustable in height to accommodate all sizes of drums and barrels. When using a drum rotator with our "Fixed Band" option to handle steel 55 gallon (205-liter) drums, the rim clamp can be removed.

Our drum pourers are always supplied with a self-locking rotational gearbox, preventing drums from moving when the rotation handle is released. The gearbox ratio is 120:1, making the rotation of heavy drums up to 771lb. (350kg) easy for all operators.

The drum rotator's gearbox handle is easy to access from the side of the machine and can be folded away when not in use to prevent it from catching on obstructions.

These versions of the drum rotator feature nickel/chrome-plated hydraulic rams. The aluminum hydraulic pumps are encased in stainless steel and protected by a rubber gaiter to prevent dirt and debris from causing damage.

With our weigh-scale system, you can weigh drums while you handle them. A digital read-out provides real-time weight information ideal for batch production. With an accuracy of +/- 3.5oz (0.1kg), your product can be measured or dosed precisely every time. 

The weigh scale display is powered by a long-lasting rechargeable NiMH battery.

We understand that customers need to empty drums at different heights. That's why we offer both single and dual mast models. The standard single mast model offers around 59” (1500mm) of lift, whereas telescopic models offer 106.29” (2700mm). Our team can provide drawings showing you the tipping heights and clearances you can expect should you decide on a telescopic model.

For time-critical pouring applications we offer powered rotation which is controlled from the rear panel of the machine. This upgrade removes the manual rotation handle in favor of a hydraulic motor. Customers should consider this upgrade when the lifting height may mean that the standard rotation handle is out of reach from the operator.

Improve efficiency using hydraulic-powered clamping arms. Our unique flexible pads can clamp drums from 13-58 gallon (50-220 liters) with ease. This upgrade eliminates the need for operators to manually affix the securing band and rim-clamp, saving valuable time and speeding up production operations. 

When handling numerous drums or moving long distances, you may want to consider a power-driven model. A 24V drive wheel is controlled using an electric tiller and Curtis controller. The machine remains battery-powered offering complete freedom to travel about your factory. The drive system is suitable for use on flat and level floors.

If your company only uses 55 gallon (205 liter) steel and 58 gallon (220 liter) plastic drums, we can supply a fixed diameter over-center drum band. The fixed band is slightly faster to secure and uses rubber pads to grip the drum instead.

When handling steel drums with the band the rim clamp doesn't need to be used. This type of band is a substitute for the standard drum rotator band. Please ask our team for more information on this type of securing method.

If you’re using this drum handling equipment for smaller barrels with a diameter of less than 13.78” (350mm), we can provide an insert that allows you to lift small containers using the universal drum band. This insert can be quickly fitted or removed with two locking pins.

For very short drums, it may be necessary to raise them on a pallet to secure them into the head assembly.

When machinery integration is critical we can modify the outrigger leg dimensions of our drum tippers to suit your facility. Whether that means making the legs wider to go around an obstruction, or narrower to fit beneath a machine, we've got you covered.
