Every model in our 'side-shift' range uses an over-pallet design, with straddle legs that pass either side of the pallet and a lifter body that travels across the top. This reduces the need for operators to move the pallet with a forklift or pallet truck. An entire pallet of drums can be loaded or unloaded from a single approach, making the range ideal for areas where pallets are stored against a wall. With 7” (178mm) of clearance beneath the lifter body, the unit passes easily over standard wooden and plastic pallets.

Fourteen bearings for smooth lateral movement

The side-shift mechanism is what sets this range apart. Fourteen precision bearings allow the central lifter-body to travel smoothly from side to side across the width of the chassis, giving access to every drum position on the pallet without repositioning the machine. Once the lifter-body is locked in place, the drum can be raised or lowered with full control and when setting drums down, the lateral adjustment lets operators minimize placement gaps for tight, efficient storage.

Both the DTP04 and DTP04EL feature a stainless steel universal drum catch with separate settings for steel, plastic, and fiberboard drums from 13-58 gallon (50 to 220 liters) including MAUSER drums, covering over 95% of drum types found in the workplace. The catch can be adjusted quickly to suit drums of different heights, meaning one lifter does it all.
